Shri Chouhan lays wreath to pay tributes to martyr Omprakash

Last rites of martyr Shri Omprakash Mardaniya, who laid down his life in terrorist attack, were performed with full state honours at his ancestral village Shahpura in Ichhawar tahsil of Sehore district today. Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Revenue & Rehabilitation Minister Shri Karan Singh Verma, IG, CRPF Shri Dayaram, DIG Shri Jagjit Singh etc. laid wreaths on he body of the martyr to pay their tributes. Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan also shouldered the bier of the martyr. Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan consoled the bereaved family. Thousands of people participated in the last journey of martyr late Shri Omprakash Mardaniya and paid gave tearful adieu.

 

Monument in memory of martyr, assistance to family

 

Paying tributes to martyr Shri Omprakash at a condolence meeting, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it is necessary to teach a lesson to those who play with the country’s security. Shri Chouhan said that entire country and state stand by the martyrs who have laid down their lives for safety and security of the country. A monument to commemorate memories of martyr late Shri Omprakash Mardaniya will be constructed in his ancestral village Shahpura. Besides, Shahpura will be named after Shri Mardaniya. Family of the martyr will be provided Rs. 15 lakh, one of the family members will be given job and a plot will be allotted to his wife Smt. Kamlabai as per her wish in Sehore or Bhopal. He said that life of martyrs is precious and it is our duty to look after their families. Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed that IG, CRPF Shri Dayaram has transferred martyr Omprakash’s brother and CRPF jawan Shri Ramnarayan Mardaniya for looking after the bereaved family.


Paying tributes to the martyr, Member of Parliament Smt. Sushma Swaraj said that the parents who gave birth to him are worthy of great respect. She said that terrorism can be obliterated by uniting rising above party politics. Minister Shri Karan Singh Verma and State Women’s Congress President Smt. Archana Jaiswal also paid tributes to the martyr.

 

At a condolence meeting after the funeral of the martyr, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, MP Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Revenue Minister Shri Karan Singh Verma, Zila Panchayat Chairman Shri Dharmendra Singh Chauhan, MP Agro Chairman Shri Ramkishan Chauhan, District BJP President Shri Raghunath Singh Bhati, BJYM State President Shri Aamrdeep Maurya, Ashta Nagar Palika Chairperson Dr. Meena Singi, Zonal President Shri Kailash Surana, large number of public representatives, journalists, distinguished citizens and villagers prayed to Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.

 

Massive turnout in last journey

 

People turned out in massive number to participate in the last journey of CRPF jawan martyr Shri Omprakash, including large number of public representatives, distinguished citizens, journalists and common people. People also participated in large number in the last journey of the martyr at Ichhawar.
