Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that providing employment to maximum number of people through industrial development in the state is the state government highest priority. Prime Minister Shri Modi turned the challenge of Corona into opportunity and pledged for Atmanirbhar Bharat. Madhya Pradesh will make maximum participation in fulfilling this resolve. All facilities will be made available to the industries so that the goal of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh can be achieved fast. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the gathering at the inauguration of Pipe and Plates and Coil manufacturing unit set up by the Welspun Group at Jamunia Khejda village near Diwanganj in Raisen district at a cost of Rs 300 crores, 25 kms from Bhopal today. About 1500 people will get direct and indirect employment from this unit.

Stress on increasing women’s participation

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that employment of women in industries will be increased. For this, a policy will be prepared after holding a discussion with industrialists. Our women are fully capable to work in such plants. The state government will seriously consider increasing the percentage of women’s participation in industries after consultation with industrialists. Welcoming the move of Welspun Group to employ about 50 percent women, he said that the group’s new plant would become a good example of women’s participation.

Jamunia will become a new industrial estate

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Jamunia region is the second most important industrial area of ​​Raisen district. Earlier all industries were set up in Mandideep. But with industrial development of this area parallel to Mandideep, other units will come up in this new industrial estate. Some units have already been set up. There will be positive changes in the economy of this entire region. He said that after the invitation for investment given in the year 2018, the Welspun Group worked fast and today the plant is ready. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that better arrangements for health, education and employment will be made possible for the people of this region.

Industries will become our partners

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh will play an active role in Prime Minister Shri Modi’s concept of making India a destination for industrial establishment. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is making Welspun Group and similar industrial institutions partners in development. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that during the Corona period, the road map of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh has been prepared and preparation has been made for overall development through infrastructure, good governance, health, education and employment. The new unit of the Welspun Group is an important step towards fulfilling the resolve of atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. For this, this group deserves to be congratulated because this plant was built in Jamunia in a record time of two years.

Skill development is most important

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that today skill development is the most important. One must be skillful which will help youth in getting employment. The decision of this group to set up a separate unit in this village for skill development is commendable. Madhya Pradesh government is also focusing on skill development. For this, an initiative has been taken to start Global Skill Park in Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that employment potential cannot be realized only through agriculture as farming has its limits. Therefore, there is need to focus on other areas for employment. For this, skill is necessary, so that people get employment near their vicinity. For this, Global Skill Park will be developed at a cost of Rs 600 crores. Similarly, work will be done for Narmada water by remaining committed to it. Farmers will get the benefit once the irrigation schemes are completed. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that despite the difficult times of Corona this year, farmers of the state have left Punjab behind in procuring one crore 29 lakh metric tonnes of wheat. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inspected the plant at the beginning of the inauguration programme.

Industry Minister Shri Rajyavardhan Singh Dattigaon said that all facilities are being provided to industries in Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Shri Modi and Chief Minister Shri Chouhan have always given priority to women empowerment. Its implementation by Welspun Group in the new plant is commendable. The Industry Minister said that this unit will bring meaningful changes in the development of the region. Since the beginning, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has been active for the development of industries. The state is getting the benefit of his able leadership. Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary said that the region will get full benefit of this industry. The world-renowned Welspun Group has invested Rs 300 crore in Sanchi region. Now this area will be developed.

Welspun Group to invest Rs 10 thousand crore

At the outset, Chairman of Welspun Group, Shri Balkrishna Goenka said that in the next 3-4 years, the group will provide employment opportunities to thousands of people by investing about Rs 10 thousand crores in Madhya Pradesh. Welspun Group is the largest company in the country in the pipeline sector. Women will have equal share in employment in this unit of Jamunia. Eighty percent of the company’s products are exported to the world’s leading countries. Welspun Group is also doing water supply work in Dewas industrial area. Apart from this, Welspun Group is also working for women empowerment. Rs 50 crore is spent every year for education and health. Shri Goenka said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has transformed the state with his serious efforts. Prior to this, the Welspun Group has made major contribution to the solar power plant at Neemuch. The reality is that it has become easier to work in the industrial sector in Madhya Pradesh. Citing his earlier experiences he said that when he came to Bhopal for the first time in 2003, he wondered how he would work here and how to invest here. Then we saw how in 15 years, Shivraj ji created a favourable atmosphere for the industrial sector.
