Public health and welfare have always been a priority for the government and the Nishulk Pathology Jaanch Yojana is another effort in that direction. As a part of the scheme, provisions of free medical check-up has been introduced in government hospitals. 

According to the scheme, 38 types of pathology checks will be done free of cost in District Hospitals, 29 in civil hospitals, 25 in Community Health Centers, 16 in Primary Health Centers and 5 types in Sub-Health Centers and Health Centers.

Arrangements will be made to provide 48 –types of free medical checkups in 28 Community Health Centres and 32 Civil Hospitals in the future. This facility will be open to all APL, BPL patients, outpatients as well as ones admitted in the hospitals. To refrain from anomalies in treatment, posts of Lab Assistant and Lab Technicians have been filled.

In addition to free pathology, provisions of free ECG, Sonography, Eco-Cardiography, and X-Ray will also be made in Government Hospitals.
