Mukhyamantri Kaushal Samvardhan and Kaushalya Yojana

2 lakh 50 thousand youngsters will be trained on self-employment every year. Short-term public-resource training, which was not possible in traditional ITIs will also be provided. Improvement of quality and capacity building is possible in the operation of short-term training programs in industrial training institutes. On the basis of academic qualification set for each course, admissions will be on a merit basis, through an online process. The duration of the training will be from 15 days to 9 months. Its parameters will be determined according to the National Skill Qualification Framework. The training process will ensure employment or self-employment to at least 70% of the trainees.

Developing employment-oriented skills in women will be undertaken as part of the Kaushalya Scheme. Women who had to drop out of formal education or have the desire of employment or self-employment will benefit from the scheme. Women who have been victims of child marriage or violence will also be benefitted under the scheme. 

2 lakh women will be trained under the scheme every year, of which 25 thousand women will be provided residential training. Special training programs depending on the interest of women will also be developed.
